Kivipuro is a typical Finnish log home made with hand-carved logs. This log home, completed in 2002, is well-equipped and has a peaceful location by a clean lake, Lake Härkäjärvi. It is suited for a restful holiday with family or group of friends.

The log home is situated on the east side of the point, ensuring that you can enjoy the warmth of the evening sun in the garden. The beach has a gently sloping and sandy floor that is well suited for children. Children can safely swim in the shallow water, and adults can sun themselves in peace and privacy. The garden also features a campfire site suited for cooking sausages or buns on sticks over the fire.

Lake Härkäjärvi is rich in many types of fish, including pike, powan, perch, zander, bream, vendace. The log home has two (2) rowing boats, fish trap and other fishing equipment available for your use. To one or both rowing boats you can rent a 2,5 hp gasoline motor or an electrical motor. If you need a bigger boat, pls see our fishing page/ rent of boats. If you book a guided fishing trip it starts from the jetty of the home. Trolling license to Härkäjärvi is incl in the rent.

The land surrounding Kivipuro also offers excellent opportunities for hiking and picking berries and mushrooms. In the winter, downhill skiing is a good option – Häkärinteet ski slopes are only half an hour away. Pets are also welcome!

The ground floor has a kitchen/living room, bedroom, wood sauna, washroom (shower booth) and a toilet. The sofa bed in the living room transforms into an extra bed for two adults. The upper floor has a bedroom with a double bed, a hallway with a sofa bed for two and a balcony. Kivipuro can also offer eight (8) separate beds as there are two thick extra mattresses available (upstairs) and the double beds can be separated to two beds. Please inform us when booking how many separate beds you need. Thank you.
