Cottage Haukiranta offers a paradise for the true nature lover who dreams of days of peace and solitude in an own private cottage. This cozy cottage provides basic conveniences, private beach and no neighbors within 500 meters. The cottage is situated in mid of a stately pine forest in the mid of Leivonmäki national park.
In late summer and autumn the forest is full on berries and mushroom. The nature in the Finnish Lakeland is pure and you can eat the berries directly when picked from the twigs.
The name “Haukiranta” is Finnish and means shore with pikes. So also from the lake you can get real sustainable and organic food! Please remember the licenses. For just a sum of 12 euros (2016) a week they are ok. Buy the licenses at the local gasoline station called Leivonmäki Teboil.
The cottage itself is a traditional Finnish cottage with minimum conveniences, but maximum of cottage atmosphere. Everything works: fridge and hotplates with gas, lights with solar power. Fireplace gives warmth with woods. The toilet is situated in a new separate small house and is a composting bio toilet. The sauna is heated by wood and the water you get from the well in the yard. This water is also drinkable. In the kitchen you find basic tableware and cooking utensils.
The cottage consists of a combined kitchen and living room, one bedroom, a dressing room and a traditional wood heated sauna. In the living room there are two beds. In the bedroom there are another two beds. In the dressing room there is the fifth bed.
Also your dogs and pets are welcome to enjoy the cottage holiday! No pet fees.
Prices from: 390 euros/week and 150 euros/weekend. Final cleaning you can do yourself, or book in advance for a price of 50 euros. On spot: 60 euros. Sheets & towel set 16 euros per person. Between 17 June and 19 August 2017, the minimum rental period is one week and the arrival/departure day is Saturday.
