In many ways, cottage Mäkelänranta is situated on a great place for you who enjoy fishing and birdwatching. Directly from the private beach and pier you get to beautiful Lakeland views and exceptionally good fishing places.

Viikarinlahti bay is locally known for its big pikes. In May and first half of June it could even be called a paradise for pike fishers. Lake Kyyvesi is also known for its very strong population of pikeperch (zander) and there is also lots of bream and perch.

The birdlife is very rich, and tens of species lives near the cottage. FINIBA area starts appr 2 km away and nearby there is also a nature reserve with rare birds. In a week in July, a Spanish bird enthusiast saw 75 species at Viikarinlahti bay, by which cottage Mäkelänranta is situated.

The cottage has a compact and working space solution. The kitchen, dining room and living room is one open space. There is also a fireplace in this spacious room. In the kitchen there is a good set of kitchen tools and tableware for six persons. The tap water is drinkable. In the refrigerator there is also a small icebox.

There are two bedrooms with doors. There is two beds in each bedroom. These can be easily moved together (as in photos) or separated. The wood-heated sauna is atmospheric, and a typical Finnish sauna. The bathroom with shower and toilet is situated next to the sauna.

Prices from: 610 euros/week and 380 euros/weekend. Final cleaning is included in rent price. Bedlinen and towels: 18 euros per set or you can bring your own.

In June-August the minimum rental time is one week and the arrival/departure day is Saturday. For longer stays than a week please ask for alternative arrival and departure days from sales@rockandlake.com . Midsummer time makes an exception.
